As long as the laundry is folded
« on: May 16, 2017, 09:34:15 PM »
While areas of my life feel out of control, and I'm even crying a lot, I notice moments of joy when the laundry is folded, as if that's a symbol that in the bigger picture, all is okay. What gives you that sense? Maybe start it with "as long as"

As long as the house is tidy.
Like you, laundry done.
And now, happy to say that I begin my day making my bed.  Haven't done this in ages.  Feels good and nice to look at.

As long as the dusting is done.

If I look around at the corners of the rooms and there are no spider webs or dust motes, I feel comfortable and feel like I can relax. It helps me breathe.

Thank you for the affirming thread! I like the theme  :D

As long as I crossed one thing off my list. Love the feeling of accomplishment!  :)

Being able to survive it doesn't mean it was ever ok.

My hubby likes to say that if the baseball game is on, all must be okay

Happiness is a refrigerator that's not empty.  If I've got food in there then I've managed to make it to the grocery store and at least we can eat something.  Dusting, sadly, is so far down on the list it gets done sometimes when I am expecting company.  Sometimes.  :)

As long as I've had a nanna nap.

Yep. 47 and already need nanna naps.  And no grandkids in sight.

They are part of my self care that I instituted when u/npd exH left.  Unfortunately I can't have one every day, and I really feel it when they don't happen.

Oh. And I think I've unconsciously banned dusting. I haaaate dusting.

LOL - I HATE dusting, too. That's why, when it's done, it's a really good day.

The yard work is done!  My dBPDx absolutely hated for me to work out in the yard.  After three years of neglect, I got my yard and flowerbeds back under control this spring.  I love driving up after work and seeing it look beautiful.

As long as I know my girls are doing ok.
As long as the bills are paid, even though there's nothing left.
As long as I can still work and get around.
When I've been crying and feeling really down, like today, I am grateful for these things.
Thank you biggerfish, I needed this today.
