The 13th
« on: February 13, 2018, 09:04:40 AM »
Saw the date today & thought to myself it is supposed to be unlucky. Then said, it's Tuesday, not Friday. Then remembered Feb 13, 2012 was the day of my 1st date w/my exuPPD wife. So I was right all along.

Hope this cheers you up.

My Mum is very superstitious. Her Mum (deceased) was even more so.

I apparently popped my head out into the world around the time I was supposed to, but decided It was much nicer to stay where I was, so snuggled back inside for a further 2 weeks.

It was the hottest time of the year, so Mum was getting desperate. Come Friday 13th February and I decided today was the day.

Mum was NOT HAPPY and did her utmost to hold me in all day.  Finally her Mum (remember, super superstitious) told her to scoot herself to the hospital and hope I'd delay a few more hours. But I was determined.

Well, 48 years later, my mum still says that I was an angel of a child and was never any trouble. (Good thing she can't read my thoughts at times! )

So much for Friday 13th!

(Mum's still just as superstitious though.)

Thanks. I can't imagine someone being so superstitious that they would try to prolong labor pains.

I'm not sad though. I thought it was just funny as the thoughts progressed in my head.
