August: Osage County

Well, that was a PD film and a half. Meryl Streep does some amazing acting, as does the rest of the stellar cast, in this claustrophobic  family drama about a family dealing with intergenerational trauma, addiction, secrets and lies. Very well written.

Wouldn't say that I learnt anything new but I was able to see exactly what was coming next as the story evolved!

Yes!
I, saw it a couple of times.  It is a good depiction of a dysfunctional family, all members having their own consequences passed down from their parents.  Just the M is enough to understand.

Meryl Streep does it again, never lets us down.
