So in 2017 we BOTH went through a mass shooting in the city we lived in but because I was at home he doesn't feel I "lived" it like HE did.  He wasn't exactly AT THE VENUE either he was at his casino.  Neither of us knew anything and everyone was scared and fog of war!  Recently he was doing an art piece of his "therapeutic inspiration" and the symbol for the shooting was on there.  And I remembered his really cruel words about how what I felt "didn't REALLY count". according to him.

I am so sorry you experienced that and how dare he discount your emotions. Healing coming your way. Your feelings matter.

Thank you.  Yeah it was a trauma for me.  I sat there the next day stunned. As a tribute I clipped off every rose from our rose bush and tried to go lay them but I couldn't get anywhere near there for almost 3 months while the investigation went on.
