According to some research cited in the article, broadening our vocabulary to better identify which emotions we are feeling can help us with depression.

I have experienced this in my own work with my FOG. Even just learning when I felt the FOG, fear, obligation and Guilt, put me on a path to feel more confident that I can recovery from PD abuse.

Hope the article can be helpful to others!

I am so glad the article was helpful!

Patrick Teahan has a video called "10 oddly specific childhood trauma issues".

Another video I highly recommend for learning about how trauma affected us. He talks about having a delay in knowing how we feel.

And how did that happen? I had a parent who constantly said to me:

"You don't need that"
"You don't know that"
"You don't want that"

This is how you alienate a child from their own emotions.
