Navigating the Work lunch/happy hour

Well I have an update in wasted angst news:

So usually we do a holiday happy hour/dinner but for 2023 he gave the option of hh/dinner or lunch and the rest of the team chose lunch. The lunch got rescheduled 4 times for December due to work conflicts. Finally it got pushed to this week (which means I would've attended cause I was back at work this week) and then this week one person had a work conflict again and finally he just said cancel it and didn't reschedule! I'm choosing to see this as a message from the universe. So much angst wasted for nothing.

Pinkos - what a relief for you and as you say an opportunity to recognize angst and emotional energy spent on this that you would most likely choose not to spend next time. Good update! Grateful you are able to put this all in perspective.
