That is the never ending question.
Things haven't improved on the work front. I'm a teacher and my child's classroom is toxic. The teachers dislike me and in general there is an issue in that classroom.
I've been promised change in on the horizon from the administration. I made some bold statements, standing my ground. I'm prepared to follow through.
I'm at stuck between a rock and a hard place: do I press on in the current situation and continue to be a catalyst for change or just continue with my plan to remove my child.
The administration can be unique. The question in the back of your mind is always: "are they being legit or just talking the good talk?"
My child is not unhappy. But she also isn't being loved the way she should because of grown up issues.
Findingstrength729 - what a tough decision. Thankful you have deeper insight than those of us not in the educational field would have around what is best for your child. Is there urgency or do you have some time to see if the administration is sincere in their attempts to address the issues?

I suppose I have some time. I have things set to remove her, but after making the stink I did I feel like I have to follow through with their attempts to remedy the issues. But I really just want to be done. Honestly, my child has no clue anything is going on. She is as happy as happy can be.
I have some experience working in schools. IMO administration isn't as much a political position as academic oversight. And, much like any other corner of the world, administrators can be blind to people's attempts to manipulate or deal in a way that isn't in good faith. Usually they will make the decision that upsets the fewest people while still "solving" the underlying problem. This isn't always the decision that is most morally right, nor is it always the decision that really deals with the underlying issues causing disruption or unhappiness in the community. Look for indications of the administration's moral courage or lack thereof as they deal with other conflicts.

Thank you! I think that is very meaningful insight to what's going on. They're running a business, I'm being a squeaky wheel. Their desire is for me to just shut up and deal. I've been told I talk to much, but I won't let myself be walked over 24/7 like I have been. Better to bow out gracefully than have regrets.
