Title: Mastering the Art of Boundaries
Post by: bloomie on April 22, 2020, 09:33:40 AM
Giving credit where it is due this resource was shared by our hero member all4peace in an active thread.  I have been binge listening to this podcast in sequence and have found it a great reminder and help.

About:
QuoteBeyond Bitchy dispels the common misperception that personal and relationship boundaries are selfish, rigid, or controlling, and offers a fresh vision of personal limits as a source of freedom and liberation.

In each episode, Vicki shares expert information about how to identify, create, and establish effective personal and relationship boundaries so that you can get the space you need—and create the connection you crave. Vicki Tidwell Palmer, LCSW

The 5 step boundary setting process Palmer has developed is practical and makes a lot of sense:

QuoteIn order to identify, create, and maintain effective boundaries you must know your reality, the outcome you want, where you have power to effect change, how to take action, and how to evaluate your results.

Thank you for sharing this.

One thing I've realized recently is that we went from frog-in-the-water to sudden crisis and NC, so I really didn't get much experience in creating boundaries with a PD person. I feel I am much stronger now, generally, and do boundaries well with healthy people. But truth is, I never lasted a season in the pros.

I'll listen to these with interest.
