Hi guys. I visit every so often and like to read how you all are. Stay strong
I've moved gradually through the different message boards from intro to choosing to be with the PD to separating to celebrating and working on me and now I'm in the coparenting phase
Aargh
So I'm typing as I'm sitting in hospital with a sick child
This situation sums up my coparenting experience
Ex does have a cold so let's give him that. Our child is sick and I need to take to the doc. I ask if I can drop off the adhd impacted child as I'm unsure wait time.
This would mean the youngest plays on PS4 so I can deal with older.
'No I'm sick' the end.
So we go doc who won't let us in due to covid symptoms. So we have to go hospital.
I said we better tell dad. Son worried to tell dad in case he makes him mad
I'm worried to tell his dad as I know he will blame me that he's so sick
Presumptuous? Well past behaviour predicts future behaviour
And it has been a 12 year study of this person and 3.5 years free yay however with kids they never really let you be free
The trick is to have strong boundaries
Very challenging but I thank god every day for my freedom
So frustrating! I hope your child feels better very soon.
I hope things go well if you do decide to tell dad. Those situations are always tricky. If he finds out you didn't tell him he may get upset and if you tell him he may blame you for something. I am sorry you are going through this. I hope your child gets well soon.
