Hi Simon,

I'm sure the YT link is interesting, because you self-educate so much and enjoy the psychology side of understanding self and PD's.

But, Im not a huge fan of clickbait.  Therefore, would you kindly describe the content of the link, so that if i choose to open, I'm not exposed to something i don't desire to watch or even experience a triggering response in myself.  Thank you.

Fair point.
Shame I can't edit the first post to add a description.

The video is called 30 Falsehoods the New Supply Believes about The Narcissist

It's an interesting way of looking at not only what the narcs new supply is believing about the narc, but as we were all new supply at one time, how we believed it too.
It's interesting because it highlights just how deep in the FOG we must have been to believe any of that stuff.

Simon, thanks for adding the description.  I believe the post editing window time frame may be about 30 minutes.  Maybe someone else will clarify?

The video sounds interesting. Thanks for posting the link.

Simon, if you are interested in what Narcs think/believe from articles on the internet you cant go far wrong with Sam Vaknin ( a self confessed narc).

Yes, you can edit anything you post Simon.

I well remember that feeling of obsessing on what the ex was up to and with whom, and because this is Out of the FOG and beautiful things happen here, I got a small personal insight just now. So, I have experienced this  wondering/imagining uPDxbf with new woman and it was very, very painful. Partly because of all the mindfucking and mayhem they unleash on our trusting and loving hearts,  but also, and this is the point,  because I really don't think I'm all that loveable deep down. It's my old crap as well as his.

The more I do this work, the more I see the  mahoosive codependency issues I've lived with all my blooming life. Loads of stuff coming up right now.

Moderation note: Posts can be edited within the first hour on the board, then they are locked to further editing.

Any links should always include a brief synopsis of what the link is to/for, so members can decide whether or not they wish to click on it. Spammers still sneak through and manage to post links to things we'd just rather not see here - a little head's up helps everyone!

"... Here are some rules for posting links:

- All links must be related to coping, recovery and personal growth from a relationship with an individual who suffers from a personality disorder.
- All links posted must be accompanied with a paragraph summarizing the main content of the link.
- All links posted must be accompanied with a paragraph describing why it is important to the poster.

You may include a link to your own blog or other relevant site in which you are personally involved in your signature line only. This link and its contents must not reveal your own identity or the identity of other individuals whom may have written about on the board and must not solicit any sale, business or personal interaction with board members which is previously prohibited here.

Hi Hazy.
I do have an interest in Psychology.
So what I tend to do is find articles or videos or subjects on Narcs or Borderlines, and post them here for discussion.
As well as being therapeutic for me to work through what my BPD ex gf put me through, I also learn plenty of subtle things from all your experiences that you won't find in many books.
And like everyone else here, I like to share the experiences of my toxic relationship, so that others can relate, and realise that they're not alone.

I hope that by doing this, it in some small way helps someone else occasionally, the same way it helps me.
I can think of at least 2 things in the last week that, although small, subtle things, seeing someone else mention them has given me an "Ahhh!" moment.

But yes, the academic side of me is always looking for more, and once you wade through the vast amounts of self-serving YouTube Narc channels, there are some real experiences from real people that are worth listening to.
And I'm well acquainted with Sam Vaknin's work.
I know he's a self-confessed Narc, and I probably wouldn't have the patience to be in the room with him for more than 5 minutes (and I'm very buddhist! lol), but I think Sam's work is second to none.
Although Sam's probably a nightmare to be around (Richard Grannon says he gets on with him because he handles him in a very careful and specific way!), he's very educated on this subject, and his theories on Borderlines being secondary psychopaths, and on their mortification is very interesting.
(See how boring I get when I start talking about this stuff!  ;D)

Yes, you can edit anything you post Simon.
Boat Babe, I think the edit function is only available for a short period after you post, and then it's not possible for us mortals to do it.
Mods and Admins can probably do it.

And I'm sorry to hear that you just had some emotional trigger about your ex.
I still get them from time to time.
Even though I want nothing to do with her, and I know that it was all fake, it still hurts.
I'd be worried if it didn't hurt though.
At least it shows I'm human.

Hope you're ok Boat Babe.
From my time on the board, all I've seen is you be kind and helpful to others, so it's strange to hear you doubting your self-worth or lovabilty (is that a word?).
Here's hoping you flush the last of that self-doubt out of your system, and find inner happiness.

Oh, and love the word mahoosive.
Massive and Huge I presume?  :D

Moglow, Yeah I can see how that might look like Spam or Clickbait.
I'll remember that, Cheers.
