This is a great video explaining why talk therapy will sometimes trigger a cascade of responses and why writing is sometimes better than talking for those who experienced trauma.

Attached is the writing technique too.

It mentions that what we write doesn't need to be analyzed or even true it just needs to be what's in the moment. Specifically it's not a journal and after writing it and ending it, closing it appropriately has outlined, it could be shredded, burned, let go. it's a way to gain mental clarity at the beginning and end of the day. The goal is to free up your mind and I like this because it will help me further be free to live my life without my brain hanging me up.
