Hated names

Is there a name you've come to hate because of your pd experiences?

I can't stand the name of my ds15's UNPD smother.  And each time I've met someone with the same name, they've had really grating personalities.

I had to do a job with one the other day.  I'm sure she was a nice young lady but, like ds's uNPD smother, she was over confident and LOUD.

What is it about people with that name that they're so LOUD!

Associate of Daniel - knowing and managing my own biases is an important part of me clearing up my side of the street and healing. I get what you are saying here and have had to acknowledge this in myself.

There is a particular cloying perfume type fragrance I associate with a someone who has brought an incredible amount of pain and chaos to my life. It represents, for me, someone trying to look and smell sweet, but who is mean underneath. Anytime I smell this fragrance on a person I want to turn and go in the opposite direction so hard.
The most powerful people are peaceful people.

The truth will set you free if you believe it.

Pepin

I don't like CN MIL's name.  Her name also happens to be a noun and it sums up exactly who she was trying to be even though I feel as though she was just a little girl in an adult woman's shoes.  To date, I don't know anyone with that name and I hope never to have to.

That being said, I actually don't like my own name either.  My name wasn't given any thought and is recycled; I feel degraded when people say it out loud.  I wish I had thought to change it in the past to something else.

Dh hated his own name because of his uPDm. The whole thing, first, middle, last. So he changed it. Legally. He isn't bothered by other people with his old first name. He just hated it for himself. I don't hate my name. I'm not particularly fond of it, as I don't think it's an accurate reflection of my self, but I'm not bothered enough to change it. I could have, when we changed our last name. But... :meh: Pepin, you can still change your name if you like. There may be a brief court hearing to do so, but so long as you're not running from debt or trying to change it to something odd like "Potato Chip" they generally grant right away. Then there's just sorting alllll the official stuff, which is a pain admittedly.
