Interrupting for no reason

Sometimes I get interrupted to correct me when I talk to people in public.  She often hangs in the periphery to correct details.   But other times she just interrupts for no reason.   Today's example is hard to describe.   I was talking to other parents about the upcomjgn schedule for cross country and when district is for our high school.  She literally interrupted me to explain to everyone that the district isn't the same this year and why.   Except that no one cares!   I asked her about the behavior later and her issue is "if you don't tell them then they will assume it's the same as last year".

Maybe so and maybe not.   But it wasn't the focus ofthe conversation at all.  When I further asked her why she had to discuss this, she got very angry insisting that this is critical.to explain or people will not know.   Again, it was strange.

My ds13's uNPD smother interrupts as well.

I think she just needs to be the centre of attention. And to appear superior to everyone.

It's extremely frustrating.

my unpdh interrupts strangers! He eavesdrops... when he hears something that he can pontificate about, he will turn to the people and say, "I couldn't help overhearing your conversation..." and invite himself in, as the expert, the teacher, the one who knows more...
this has happened to me many times. Out to a quiet breakfast, people speaking quietly behind us, he gets up out of his chair to leave and goes to their table!!!

Me;  as soon as he sees and hears where I am going with a thought, and since he knows how and what I think; he will parrot what I was about to say. He takes over the conversation and also appears to be knowledgeable, when all he really does is watch 15 min. youtubes and play games on his tablet.

Then when he gets stuck and can't remember what I originally said, he will turn to me and say, "tell them what you told me, I can't remember all of it..." but only if he get's caught in the middle of his shinnanigans.

When confronted by me... he has NO SHAME about stealing the moment, my thoughts or my personality!
