She's stepping it up from card with a $20 check and a platitude to having goodies delivered from a local bakery.  So she dragged a poor helpless delivery driver into her hoover.  :roll: I had to tell her, no we don't know anyone by that name so we aren't accepting the delivery. I suggested they give it to someone in need. On the plus side I can't see her both paying for a delivery AND getting on a plane to visit, so the rest of the holiday is probably safe.

Correct move in this case. Mine sent Christmas gifts for the first few years. After I moved, they couldn't find me so the gifts stopped.   

They sent checks that I never cashed, fruit baskets I gave to the delivery people, gifts that I donated to charity. Wiped my hands clean of it all and did some good in the process.
