Projection?

uBPDh has many avoidant characteristics and it's not uncommon for us to go several days with him saying only ok, and hunh to me. At the same time, he expects that I know everything he knows.
Example. He books a trip to visit his parents and is surprised when I don't know the details of his flights.
I've asked him multiple times, "How would I know X without you telling me?"
I was wondering if this isn't a control technique, so much as it's projection. If, in his mind, since  I'm an extension of him, then I should automatically know what's going on in his head.
Just an idea I had. I'm open to your comments on it.

I don't know! In the good old days, a few years ago, when my uBPDw did something nice for me she wouldn't tell me about it. I had various possible explanations for this: She didn't know the rules of how to behave in relationships; Fear of intimacy; ADHD; Change of mind. It could have been expecting me to mind read, that did happen a lot, especially with non sequiturs in conversations. But it never felt controlling. I've never quite grasped the idea of BPDs being manipulative or controlling...yes, that's a consequence of their behavior but it doesn't feel planned. But then I might be naive!
