Book Titles

What's up with these book titles? Blaring words like abuse, divorce, and crazy in bright red letters.
The womenshealth.gov website has a escape button so a person can quickly exit if needed. I'm wishing these book authors had the same forethought.
I just finished Splitting: Protecting Yourself while Divorcing Someone with Borderline or Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The book was helpful, but it reiterated several times never to tell your spouse, lawyer, therapist, judge, anyone that you suspect your spouse has a PD. At the end of the book, the author provides several open letters for you to copy and give to your lawyer, therapist, courage advocate, family and friends. They all start with: I've been reading this book called Splitting: Protecting Yourself while Divorcing Someone with Borderline or Narcissistic Personality disorder. ..
Now I'm hoping I have all traces of it erased from my kindle. I'm also getting kindle book recommendations with like titles pipping up everywhere.
For those of you still living with your PD, how do you hide the books?

I have my own Audible account and am listening on there. I also have my own Amazon account.
I never feel truly safe, updh has 2 degrees in the "computer" field and knows coding, and controls all the "electronics" accounts in our home. My safety is likely a huge joke.
One could borrow physically from the library, and either read  there or if you had a safe physical place to hide? I did used to do that.

Thanks for the suggestions. I used to read hard copies in the car while waiting for DD to finish her activities. I'd forgotten about that.
Books at work wouldn't work for me as H and I have a lot of common contacts there. Also, I haven't seen my desk in almost a year.

I used to borrow because I worked in a secured office where nobody could go, and I had a locker in there. I read in there and kept a ton of real books locked in my locker. If you had someplace where you could read in secret and keep real borrowed books, that would be a way.

I work in a 2 person office and my admin knows what's going on. I keep everything at the office under my desk and read as needed. I can also have things shipped here since it's just the two of us and my SO can't get in. I'm more worried about accidentally leaving Out of the FOG open on my phone!

I think domestic violence charities also suggest keeping them at a trusted friend's house. I just password protected my kindle myself.

Shared accounts are definitrely a risk. One thing i've been using a lot are the Hoopla and Bookmyne apps. If you have a library card to your city library they likely have phone apps that you can synch with your library card and check out books digitally through the library app. I have gone through so many audiobooks in the last year. And it's all free!

Password protected kindle seems to be working.
However, one of the newer books I want to read doesn't have an e-version.
