PAY

I've been doing a mediated divorce-against the recommendations of like a gazillon people. It was looking pretty rough for awhile ~ like we were going to have to lawyer up and go the long and expensive route.
I am paying the maintenance and I am giving up 1/2 of my savings and IRA. (Plus maintenance). But we had our last mediation session on Wednesday and he signed the agreement! I can hardly believe it. We filed in mid-Dec and I moved out March 1.
Now the mediator will submit to the judge.  Because of the pandemic, we signed affidavits and we don't appear in court. We'll just wait to hear that the judge rubber stamped it.

I know it's not done til it's done. And he could pull some sort of stunt (he sent a long email to the mediator with a copy to me this morning, again reiterating how he's not happy this is happening. (Of course I'm paying for the mediator to read this s$#t and possibly respond.  Oh well. Just wanted to share my joy-cos y'all helped make this happen. Thank you!

Congrats!!!

Once you are divorced you will get that money back just by not having him in your life. I'm still shocked by how much money I'm able to save each month.
