Merry Christmas! What I never could have guessed he's angry about

I would like to start a list of odd things our significant others choose to be angry about, to put a damper on our holiday spirit. Because it has to be something....
Last night I used the big table in our basement to wrap gifts. He came down once but returned to the living room.  Then, to drive home the point, he went to bed before I finished. Also, the couple times I went upstairs, I could tell he was upset about something. Didn't waste the brain power to wonder what about. Don't really care.
When I finished, I went into the bedroom, as I knew he wasn't asleep, to tell him something.
He said "So, did you get all your secret notes written and sent off? Write on the tags 'love, Mom' ?"  (because the gifts are from both of us)
I told him that I wrote both our names on them and he said "Yeah, right. And I suppose you have them all sealed up so I can't see them?"
I said "Yup. You're just gong to have to trust me"
"Grunt, snort eye roll"
Whatever.

My husband has gotten angry about the smallest things over the years, and in many cases, he became angry and gave me the silent treatment without me even knowing what I had done.  One Christmas I gave him a tip on using our camera, when he was trying to take photos during gift opening.  He was angry with me for the rest of the day, and wouldn't even look at me while opening any gift he thought was from me

You must know that credit/brownie points for coming up with the gift ideas, driving to buy them, packing and wrapping them, then waiting in line to ship them is all Divided equally between both of you if his handwriting is ok n the little To/From lable

While my H would care not one iota about the presents, labels, or credit, the pAraNOid nature of that "secret notes" bs made me break out in sympathetic hives and now I'm drawing a bubble bath to recover.

Cascade, you reminded me that H is still angry about, and I still get reminded about the time he couldn't figure out how to run my sister's camera, and I said to just give it to BIL to take the picture. That was more than 10 years ago. Still reminded....
His contribution to Christmas is to maybe pay half, because we have one checking account. And sometimes agreeing to what I'm getting for the kids. Literally that's it.
He says every year that DD NEVER says thank you to him for her gift, when I know that she does. And I NEVER give him credit. I have to be very careful not to say that I picked the gift out.  Even though I did. So, I just smile and say something like "I'm glad you like it"
He's the poor victim. Last night at the store he went through an entire list of people wo pissed him off and why at some point. It was like a running tally.

I have heard this so many times from my pdhusband, not so much in reference to gifts but anytime he does something helpful for our children, whether they've thanked him or not.
