Ilove....

I have and estranged sibling who is completely nuclear on me and the family.  After our fall out more than half a decade ago, she engaged in a lot of abuse and harassment against the family.  We are no contact with her and we don't share a life with her any more.

I'm reading between the lines of whatever abuse that filters through and comes our way. I think I am experiencing a lot of projection from her and something called splitting.

Projection - she told me many times in her abusive messages that I was only jealous of her. This isn't true by the way. I am not jealous of her.
Splitting - I think whatever hurts she is experiencing l, she wants me and others in the family too, to feel the same. I will give an example - I learned that in her previous job, she was not happy because of some workplace conflict.   She's in a new workplace now and she's still not happy. She was targeting in on my employer for a number of years where my employer gets messages from time to time - in her smear campaign.

I think what I am experiencing are these bpd behaviours and I'm just a target due to being estranged and the conflicts she has on me.

Do these behaviours ever stop? Is this something that will follow me around til the end of my days?

I'm not getting into the full situation but the legal routes have failed to help me to achieve peace in my life from this person.

Projection and splitting are pretty classic PD behaviors. So is the cycle of NC where they go quiet for potentially years at a time and then re-emerge just to lob a grenade at you from over the wall, trying to see if they can get a reaction out of you. It sounds like what might have happened here. I hope your employer knows this is an unstable person and all messages from her should be blocked and deleted.

I'm sorry you're going through this, but it sounds like you've made the right choice going NC.

A meal of bread and water in peace is better than a banquet spiced with quarrels.

2 Timothy 1:7
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Proverbs 29:11
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.
