I have used Better Help and ReGain.  Both online. Same format.  During the pandemic it worked.  Someone /anyone to talk to about a bullying job and difficulties in my relatiinship.  But this week I had a watershed breakthru all of this stems from my NOD childhood.  I REALLY want to work through this but I need someone who GETS IT.  Ant hepl?

I have been to many therapists - many many many.  And finally these past few years I think I hit winners.  It took lots of trial and error and really listening to my own inner voice.  A few of them I should have quit sooner because there were not helpful.  So my first bit of advice is to listen to your inner voice.  Really listen and those instincts.  And don't be afraid to move on.

Second, be brutally honest.  Like very frank about all that is in your life.  Don't hold back.  Even a little.  You can't get good help if you aren't honest.

Third, therapists may be getting better themselves.  I think there is more understanding about PDs than before and at last we have some common language so we can communicate what we are experiencing.  The toolbox is a great resource for this - using acceptable terms to communicate our issues.

Last, journal.  If you can't find a T, then journal.  Complete free write with out interrupting your own thoughts.  You may be surprised what you uncover there.
