Thank you for being here.

I had no idea how much my last relationship had affected me until I moved away from him everyone I know and found myself repeating the same mistakes in even more dangerous ways.

I understand so much more now after what I have read here (so far just the first page, top 100 traits, types) I literally have nothing new or unique to add that hasn't been described in detail by others here.

I'm excited to work my way through the website and references, I'm grateful for a FB post in a codependency support group that recommended the book by the same name.

I hope to be able to get some guidance when I am faced with new situations because my denial and fog are so hard to see through sometimes and I will need some reflection from you guys.

I think I have removed all external toxicity for now and am safe, I will continue to keep my research, self care, boundaries, forgiveness in the front of my mind to help clear out the fog and start repairing the damage.

Appreciate you all thank you 💜🙏

You are so welcome! I am glad you found us and sad you had to.
We are all on different stages of our journey Out of the FOG and support and encourage each other.  Great that you are safe for now and remain vigilant. It is so easy to feel attracted to yet another toxic person. Looking forward to your posts!
I can't hate my way into loving myself.
