Huge Change in her behavior

I fell for her manipulation a couple nights ago and it let her play the victim for the second time. Never saw her so angry, she talked a lot about ending the relationship, of course she wanted me to end it, but when she woke up she was calm, never talked about what happened.
The big change is before she use to glare at me when she was upset at me and now for the first time she is avoiding all eye contact with me.
I can only guess that she set up herself to play the victim either way. If I leave, she is the victim or she can end the relationship paint me black and play the victim.
She was hoping I would go to work before New Years.

All I see is big changes in the New Year.

DragonsDen,

Im glad to read you are being very high radar and seeing the bigger picture, aligning your experiences up with the IDD cycle and drama triangle behaviors.  I believe the lack of eye contact is a part of discard.  I also believe that discard is interlaced with devaluation, but the devalue is deeper and more covert than previously in the very outward, dramatic devaluation stage.

The interesting thing is we perceive that subtle difference in the lack of eye contact and imo, they know it.  Some could say that lack of eye contact could be symbolic of some hidden guilt in the PD, but imo, it just a belittling instrument to convey that we are not worthy of the effort of a glance; of no value...Devalued.

Although there are three sides to the drama triangle, the other two are simply the PD's paths back home to 'Victim'.  Keep up the birds-eye understanding DragonsDen and steady practice and apply the toolbox.

The bread crumbs have stopped.
She changed her hair color and letting her hair grow long which would match exactly her hair when we first met.
She tone and actions are neutral.
Stopped cooking for me.
Usually in bed she would extend a foot or arm to give a light touch, that has stopped.
There is no attempt on her part to interact with me.
No hostility if I interact with her. (IE this is not the silent treatment)
Totally emotionless.
This is like two people living in a house that never met before but have to co-habitat for a limited time.
This is definitely new.

SoT, big big thanks for replying. Very anxious time and truthfully, best for me if she ends it.

:yeahthat:.  Like living again with that disrespectful housemate when I was in my early 20's, and I couldn't wait for their lease contract period to end... it was either they go, or I go.

Many here describe this experience with a spouse in discard.  You are not alone DragonsDen.  You are understood here by respectful people who care.
