Hi All,

I'm not new to narcissistic people, two of my previous partners had those traits.
However, I'm just beginning to uncover and realize that my own mother is one. We've had a difficult relationship for years and I had uncovered part of the picture
and sort of understood some of her mental difficulties along the way as I got older but recognizing the narcissism as the bigger issue is such a massive realization
and I can't unsee it now. The few friends I've spoken to recently aren't surprised at all, it's just me.
I intend to go NC with her in a few weeks time and just woke up from a horrible dream about her.
I'm sure plenty of you have been through similar things and I hope I can find some support here.
Thank you for listening to my story.

Hi there 👋
Are you me????? I feel like I just posted something similar. I just woke up too. But I knew I was dreaming and called it as I saw it as a child and then went into a deep slumber because obviously the problem was me and not the 3 other people convincing me it was me. Understand that you are probably an empathetic and sensitive person (because we either become like them or the complete opposite) I am sorry you are coming to this realization I understand completely. It really is like waking up from a bad dream. But... now you know what's been off your whole life it's kind of freeing. Be gentle and loving to yourself. Pm me if you feel like it.
