So my SG Brother went NC

My ScapeGoated Brother went No Contact.  I am so proud of him.  This is going to be much healthier.

My Mom is a Covert Narc very into her fantasies (new house/ perfect life choices). She is a mental exhaustion. 

Trigger warning —

My dad is Codependent with her because he has Anxiety and Rage problems.  It was really awful for us growing up.  Then he mellowed for. Bit but apparently as he ages it is back.  He would get frustrated at a construction project and blow his stack and throw things at you.  I remember someone being doused with juice one weekend.   It was the moment I decided to move out and got a summer job a state away to live in their dorms. 


Well I am now in my 5th decade on this planet.  My older brother just experienced the EXACT same thing.  He came over to their house to help him with a bracket thing.  My father got frustrated AND TRIED TO FIGHT MY BROTHER.   

It was the final straw.  My brother calmly left and told him he would have no more contact with them.  And that he was done being afraid of him.  That is is done.  Period. 

Sigh.

It feels so good when we enforce boundaries! And when others do too, it's validating for us. Big applause for you and your brother.
