In the past few days, I've had to deal with three trapped mice and one gigantic (IMO) spider. At times such as this, I miss having a spouse or partner to ask to do the dirty work. I like almost everything else about living alone and no longer being married. How about you?

In my time at my little cottage I dislike cooking alone and I dislike putting away only one set of dishes and silverware.  I love being able to throw away junk mail before it comes into the house and feeling happy friends can come over without a huge mess that's embarrassing.
It is unwise to seek prominence in a field whose routine chores you do not enjoy.

Thanks for this topic, PI.  When there are lots of responsibilities bearing down, it can feel overwhelming to know they're mine alone. And I miss the companionship, partnership, & affection of living with another.

Being able to determine what I do with my own time is a huge benefit.  And I can focus on my own values and priorities including what kind of service work I want to do and for whom.

I think living with someone with some times apart (like you mention, Jsinjin)  would be ideal for me ... with the right person.

I like that I can withdraw when I feel bad. So I'm not burdening others.

I like being able to make my own choices.

I dislike loneliness. I like all forms of intimacy of a relationship. Sharing daily stories, touch, fun activities.

I dislike having to motivate myself to do chores. I can do that better with another around. Even if they are just there.
