SpiritedChange

I have finally blocked my mother and every single one of her codependent agent children -- my siblings.

Let them think I'm mad at them and giving them the silent treatment. In fact, I hope that's what that's what they think. It's much safer this way. They'll get to feel all smug and superior and won't feel compelled to retaliate.

I hope and pray I never hear from them again.

SpiritedChange,

That's a big decision, and one I'm sure you didn't make lightly at all.  We're here to support you.  Take good care of yourself during this time of change.

Thank you. It has taken five years since my eyes were opened about my mother for me to get to this point. I thought that boundaries were all that was needed. Little did I know that she was going to be able to enlist every single one of my siblings in a campaign to ostracize me, including my scapegoat sister.  :stars:

SpiritedChange - knowing when to let go is incredibly difficult. I am so sorry. Count me in as another one who hopes you will take good care of yourself and go gently forward.

The truth will set you free if you believe it.

Prioritize that self-care.   Goodness me, this sure isn't a linear path, but it IS a healing one.
