Seeking community and like minds on this journey of self-discovery and self-care.  It feels so lonely when triggered, I get lost in the fog and so the name of this group seems like a good place for me to be.   :)

I read Pete Walker's book on cPTSD and highlighted almost every line in it.  This is one of the groups recommended to find support and that's what I need - others who understand how to hold space for someone in an emotional flashback. My friends have no concept of any of this and it's become more and more difficult to talk to them.  My therapist is great but there are times that I need more than just the sessions with them.

Welcome, Juno! I am grateful you have found this community and joined us here to add to the circle of support in your life.

Count me in as another one who found Pete Walker's books and work helpful. Another resource I have found helpful of late is the work of Ingrid Clayton, Ph.D. Here is a link to her blog in case that would be insightful for you: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/emotional-sobriety

We have a toolbox, articles in our glossary, books that have been empowering, and other online resources located above and throughout the forum. Take your time and settle in. When you are ready, join the conversations taking place on the boards and tell us a bit more about what brings you here.

The truth will set you free if you believe it.

Thank you, Bloomie, appreciate the welcome and the information. <3 Ingrid Clayton's blog looks interesting, and I'll definitely check out the other resources.
