Odd Neighbour Who Asks About But Me

Just an odd lady who just as a really overbearing way of communicating. She will literally just dump bad information on you without letting you talk, with little prompting, even when you're talking with someone else.

As an example, a friend and I were talking about racism towards black people. I said something empathetic towards the issue with my friend, and this other lady immediately launched into an absolutely obnoxious monologue about how black people commit racism on other blacks. Basically, she read something misquoted somewhere, and spouted it at me, without letting me interject at all. Essentially, a one way monologue about how she is right and I am wrong.

When we discussed issues about native Americans, this lady again interjected that it's often their own fault, and then hinted at having Native American heritage.

The lady is very white passing. She said she knew this because she also dated a native man once and hung out on a reserve.

Every conversation feels like a one up, where she beats you over the head with information, and she has to be right. There is no two way interaction, or being quiet and letting you talk, while actively listening.

Her behaviour has gotten her kicked out of a couple of places. My friend runs a shop and has asked her to be quiet or leave.

Another weird thing she did is I had gotten a small bathing suit and was showing my friend. I'm just not a big person and I often fit xsmall, or small clothing. She proceeded to try and suggest I was too big for my bathing suit by asking "does it even fit?" and then proceeded to compare herself to me. I said to my friend that it seemed like a weird underhanded put down. My friend agreed, as she witnessed the interaction.

Lately she had been asking about me. I ran into her and she was rude to me and acted like I was bothering her when I said hello.

I brushed it off. I am going to ignore her because she is just not a healthy person in how she comes across. No idea if she is narcissistic, autistic or chronically online on Facebook. She does like to spout what she reads there and often it's done without reading a factual source.

Sounds to me like an opportunity the universe threw in your path to practise your medium chill, grey rock, and boundary setting. Your strength and resilience is being tested.
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

Just because she's a neighbor doesn't obligate you to deal with her. She's responsible for her behavior and for how others react to her.  If she's "asking about" you, tell those who she's asking how you feel about her and that you don't want to be part of their conversation, thank you very much.

Yeah I usually just grey rock, and give unenthusiastic replies or walk away when I have had enough.

I am just not going to respond to her. Sometimes she just happens to be where I am, and I do my best to be of good chill.

She's not the worst I've encountered, so her asking about me is not too concerning, unless she starts doing something ridiculous.
