Insisting on driving and refusing directions

When we travel we often get rental cars.   My spouse who is uOCPD can not handle riding in an unfamiliar place in a group if she is not driving.   But she has this assumption that Waze or Google maps is always wrong.   We spend so much time pulled over trying to understand why Waze or a gps chose a way she doesn't think is right.
