The definition of harassment

I saw a flyer the other day that said:

"We will not allow our staff to be harassed.

To harass means:

• Talking in mean ways
• Attacking someone with words
• Swearing at someone
• Bothering someone over and over

"

It blew my mind just a little because every day on this forum we read stories from people suffering these exact behaviors and, often, wondering if there is something wrong with THEM for not liking being treated that way. And here's this simple little list from a very staid organization protecting their EMPLOYEES from treatment we've received from our parents, partners, or children.

A moment of blazing clarity in what was otherwise a pretty sh*tty day.

Thank you for sharing this. Last year, my work team was harassed by a manager. All the harassment was verbal. It was very stressful.
