Tiny change

Being socially « nice «  greases the wheels  of society  - certainly with growing family, getting along with community is important.

But I had a réalisation recently-in regard to an old family friend. I don't enjoy his company one bit. He is self interested, opinionated and leaves me drained.

Tiny step -gave myself permission not to like him. To keep it short. No more ego validation.
Spent far too much of my life being nice to certain people- and I don't have to.  A little revelation!

Inspirational. There are a few people in my life I could afford to give a bit less to as well...  We can get along without giving into old scripts to be codependent and be all things to all people!
