My DH has been on the receiving end of ST, drifting into NC with his parents. He chose not to reach out to the enabling parent on a milestone day not long ago. At that time he said that there was really nothing to say, and evidently they didn't want to talk to him either. But he wouldn't be surprised to hear from one of his parents friends soon, specifically "Joe." Well wouldn't you know, Joe called today. Hadn't heard from him in years.

He asked for info his parents already have, which is weird, but golly. It's uncanny.
