I HATEEEEEEE my husband!!!!
I don't know the rules, I don't know the guidelines, if this goes against a standard, DELETE IT!! But it's my TRUTH!!!

He has singlehandedly RUINED MY LIFE!!!!!!! I told him we need to separate and he is threatening to take my children from me if I leave with them....

I HATEEEEEEEE HIMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why did I go and do this to myself!!!!!! WHY!!!!

Rosie85, hang in there. We are all cheering for you and your children here!

This is NOT your fault. You didn't cause his sickness, you can't cure it and you can't control it. You're allowed to feel your feelings.

It's horrible that someone like this can be so good at pretending to be a nice, decent person. But the sustenance of this false illusory self is literally the life's work of the narcissist. Sadly it is those closest to them that have to experience the ugly truth behind the mask, and have to own their truth despite often not being believed. And their very normal emotional reaction to all this abuse and invalidation is turned against them.

I wish you well in doing whatever it takes, however long it takes, to reclaim your life. You deserve all of that and more.

Oh how well I do know this feeling! Let it flow through you Rosie. This anger might give you the energy to do something about your situation. Start small.  What can you do?
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

If you can see a lawyer.  If not maybe talk to a womens shelter advocate.  You will want to know all your options.

Also is there any way you can separate in the home to get some peace while you work on things.

When things were at their worst I considered leaving and about that time a friend whose husband was an alcoholic pd became violent best her up akd they separated, despite his abuse tue court gave 50/50 custody of theor teen son.  That pretty much freaked me out to be honest.

Now I am in my last two years of kids at home so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Fortunately many of the worst of our problems were reduced with my pd taking psychiatric medications.

I wonder if someday I will regret staying.
