Sorry for this vent.  He just canceled visitation because is in quarantine due to a positive covid blood test.
He quarantined for 2 weeks before Christmas after a positive test, claimed loss of smell and taste, chest x-rays, the whole 9 yards.  Then, after he was better, the day before he was to get out and see the kids, he suddenly got "sick" again.  Trip to the ER.  (Btw, he appeared totally fine via video chat this whole time).  Quarantined 2 more weeks into the new year.  Tested negative, or so he claims.  He has since had two very shortened visits with the kids where they hung out with their grandparents the whole time.  Now, he is canceling this weekend because he is so sick with covid.  Claims his doctor assured him that the other two times were probably just false positives.
I didnt even respond.  Of course, now I'm sure I'm the bad guy for not being sympathetic.  He only has a few days left to respond to my divorce complaint.  No doubt there is a connection.  My money, unfortunately, is on the fact that he is likely using again.   :(
Deep breaths.  I keep telling myself it is just more evidence for court.  (I wouldnt accuse him of outright lying, but it certainly doesn't make him look good.)  I mean, how many people have been sick 3 times and gotten 2 false positives?

Document, document. Just the facts. Maybe you can get sole custody.

So irritating, of course. And possibly painful for the kids. I hope you can find a way to work out the frustration. Hit a cushion, maybe...
I can't hate my way into loving myself.

I'm taking out my frustration by doing projects at the new house and packing up the last of my stuff at the old.  It is lighting a fire under me to get it done and get the heck out forever.

These things will all count in your favor when it comes to custody. In many ways it's best that they show their true colors during this period. Many use this period to be on their best behavior which just makes you look unreasonable. My ex was one of those. No one believed a single word I said as he as on his best behavior during the entire separation and divorce.

Wow it's amazing how many terminal illnesses they get 👌especially related to kids and providing for a family.

My friend a nurse she says there is a word for this in hospital 'Acopia' which they put on file for those who just don't cope with anything

Sounds like he has a case of it
