Hi everyone.  I was surfing the web and came across this forum.  I've been the SG in my family growing up.  When I did wrong things with my siblings growing up, I was the only one punished.  I'm the middle child and the only one who seemed insignificant (they got the new bikes and I was left to borrow theirs).

Fast forward to adult life and I am the only one who moved 1000 miles away to get from the crab bucket I feel they keep trying to pull me back into. My En-Bro has violent tendencies which are known but the family constantly encourage me to hang with him and invite him over when he comes to town.  Even when I tell how I feel, they act concerned but the next few days they make the same suggestion like they heard nothing I said.  I am their dumping ground and it seems the only reason they call me is to dump all their emotional baggage on me, then as an after thought ask how I'm doing and immediately continue where they left off even though what I said had nothing to do with what they were talking about.

I dropped En-Sis from my contact since I was attacked on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Years Eve I'm thinking in an attempt to ruin my holidays since she was depressed. (turns out she is possibly a PPD) Then not long ago I sent a podcast to her as an encouragement and she sends video  to me accusing me of having negative and ungodly ways. :stars:

Most people in my circle know my BM and they tell me things she says about me that are untrue.  There is no one who will believe or support my case. This is distressing and I just need to connect with people who understand and are going through similar experiences because nobody I can think of understands.

Welcome! You have found a good place, full of information and support. Have you read the Toolbox? You might find some strategies there that will help you to protect yourself better when dealing with your family. It takes a while to practise them but when implemented consistently they will help you to feel more in control.
See you around on the boards!
I can't hate my way into loving myself.
