So grandma's been at it again, and for some time high blood pressure (not a bit high, more like concerningly high) has been an issue. Thankfully current doctor is really making her stay on top of home readings (more accurately home health is making her). So a pattern has started to emerge, on days where my mom is coming over, it's better than on days she's not. When home health communicated this, mom said "I have my own life." They agreed with that and did not push the issue further.
Now grandma's starting to get a little too latched onto me now, and I'm saying mentally oh no you don't. She's big on us having dinner together on Sunday evening. I am not. I had to miss one because I was sick (bad drug allergy, there was some discussion over whether I needed to be admitted to the hospital). Even though that episode was a few months ago, she made it seem like me missing it was this big, horrid thing. If I had gone, I would have been too out of it from some hefty allergy meds to be good company.
I've been trying to schedule as many things on Sunday night as I can, and Saturday night too for good measure so she doesn't decide to switch the day. It's been great though, had a very instructive time this Sunday with our state medical reserve corps.

Keep up those boundaries! It is not your job to entertain her and certainly not to the detriment of your health!
