Hello, I have been using this website as a resource for years, ever since my therapist told me she thought my mother is a narcissist. Since then, I've done a lot of work, and I am fairly certain that she is in the clusterB PD area, likely with histrionic PD and anti-social PD.
It's been a long journey, but I am happy to say that I have been NC/limited contact (and only my terms) with her for almost 10 years now. 11 years with my dad.
I finally signed up for an account and got on here because while relationships with my parents are in a good place (for me), I am the second oldest of 9 siblings, and my older sister and I have some relationship struggles.

I'll continue on another board, but thank you for all the support on here!

A friendly hello to you therain!  Welcome to Out of the FOG!

So glad you signed up for an account and decided to join this wonderful group of people from all over the world.  Each of have our own personal experiences but we have some things in common also, as we have a relationship with a PD in our lives.

Im sorry you have experienced so much familial relationship difficulty.  You are certainly not alone!  There are so many here who have experienced a tumultuous life with a PD parent, and am in that crowd, as I have a uNPDfather, currently NC.

I read very positive, proactivity in your post.  Therapy, deep research into experiences, education of terminology, use of the tools in the toolbox, and now, an active member of Out of the FOG!  Great work on your part, and I look forward to gleaning from your input!

You wrote you are already moseying over to the other boards for meaningful conversation, so I will see you around the friendly campfires of the forum boards!
