Mother's Day (U.S.) is May 14. I wish for everyone a tolerable day. I know this day can be difficult for many people, regardless of whether you are a parent, whether your mother is alive, whether you get along with her or don't.

Thx PI.
it's a tough day,  as any holiday can be.
Expectations can be high.  Reality can be difficult.
I love my DS and feel I have a good relationship with him.
I have regrets about loss of mother figures in my life and about my past relationship with updm.
Also,  like other holidays,  updh has sometimes managed to make the day very difficult....
We have plans for late lunch with ds and I'm hoping that luck/ the universe/ knowledge of our Out of the FOG toolbox work in my favor

Halloween is my fav holiday! 😂

Mothers Day has gotten easier, mainly because Nmom has dementia and doesn't remember holidays. Also, I avoid social media and my own kids are amazing. Still, I like to keep it low key and just do quieter self-care things (yoga, reading, meditation, etc).

Not too many years ago, I went to an off grid campsite and cried the whole weekend, so I do know the pain the day can bring.  Much love and understanding for all on this day!
