Hi, finally accepting that my husband whose actions and behaviours I have tolerated and accepted for many reasons are most likely a Cluster B PD and just looking to see how others navigate what feels like a literal FOG...
Definitely feeling isolated and maybe hoping to find some mutual support for and from others here?
:) Hope everyone is doing ok x

welcome to the group tjtrying,
for me finding out about uPD/ PD people was like being thrown in icewater- a shock to the system but after a while the knowing made a lot more things make sense and helped me to make better boundaries and choices to protect myself from being hurt.

when you are ready to share more about your relationship we're listening and can point out the part(s) of the forum that you may get the best support/ validation from.  until then-  take care and breathe.  it's a big step but you've got this and we get it.

tjtrying,

Welcome! I am so glad you have found us. You are not alone! I was seeing a therapist for my OCD. At the beginning of a session one day he asked how the Christmas holidays had been. I casually recounted a story of one of my interactions with my mother. He stopped me and told me in no uncertain terms that the interaction I described was abnormal to say the least. He suggested I look into BPD. My life hasn't been the same since and I am SO glad he stopped me and said something. I had never heard of PDs before that. After doing my research and realizing my M was a textbook case, it slowly clicked that I had been severely emotionally abused growing up. Well, I have been No Contact for nearly four years, and those four years have led to so much healing and growth and freedom. Obviously our situations are different, but I want you to be encouraged. There is hope and healing. You will find your way through the fog. No matter what anyone tells you, you are not crazy. You are finally seeing clearly.
