Passing along greetings

Quite often, people will ask me to say hello to my PD spouse, since my spouse doesn't socialize anymore. When I pass along the greeting, he responds negatively or says nothing at all. If you were in this position would you agree to say hello and then just not pass on the greeting to your spouse?

Hi Cascade,

That is exactly what I would do.  Something I think is that if I am doing the PD male that I am with a favor, in this case passing along a greeting, and he "gives me grief" or "gives me sh*t" for doing it is how I think of it, then I don't do it.  I don't always remember this, I find myself once again doing PD a favor and getting sh*t for it, but it is a goal.

Thanks for your input Xyz. I wasn't sure if anyone would since this is a bit of an unusual situation.

If the sh*t I'm getting is likely to be too much I won't pass along the greeting.
Else I do, and ignore the little sh*t, as it's only by ignoring the reactions that I can get along.
