Psalm 101 - a vow of integrity

This is good. Psalm 101 - especially verse 5 - if ever you wonder as many of us have whether it's morally right to choose LC, NC, use MC and set boundaries, wonder no more!

From three versions I found especially appealing :

I will sing of loving kindness and justice. To you, Yahweh, I will sing praises. I will be careful to live a blameless life. When will you come to me? I will walk within my house with a blameless heart. I will set no vile thing before my eyes. I hate the deeds of faithless men. They will not cling to me. A perverse heart will be far from me. I will have nothing to do with evil. I will silence whoever secretly slanders his neighbor. I wonít tolerate one who is haughty and conceited. My eyes will be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me. He who walks in a perfect way, he will serve me. He who practices deceit wonít dwell within my house. He who speaks falsehood wonít be established before my eyes. (Psalms‬ 101‬:1-7‬ WEB)

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside [from the right path]; it shall not grasp hold of me. A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing. Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off [from me]; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate. (Psalm‬ 101‬:3-5‬ AMP)

My theme song is Godís love and justice, and Iím singing it right to you, GOD. Iím finding my way down the road of right living, but how long before you show up? Iím doing the very best I can, and Iím doing it at home, where it counts. I refuse to take a second look at corrupting people and degrading things. I reject made-in-Canaan gods, stay clear of contamination. The crooked in heart keep their distance; I refuse to shake hands with those who plan evil. I put a gag on the gossip who bad-mouths his neighbor; I canít stand arrogance. But I have my eye on salt-of-the-earth peopleó theyíre the ones I want working with me; Men and women on the straight and narrowó these are the ones I want at my side. But no one who traffics in lies gets a job with me; I have no patience with liars. Iíve rounded up all the wicked like cattle and herded them right out of the country. I purged GOD ís city of all who make a business of evil. (Psalm‬ 101‬:1-8‬ MSG)
Each and every contact with a PD person results in damage. Plan accordingly and make time to heal. See Toolbox for tips. Individuation is the key to emotional freedom.
