Hello
« on: January 17, 2017, 02:40:19 PM »
Hello, this looks like a great forum for those of us who have someone with a personality disorder in our lives. I believe my husband has a personality disorder, though I'm not sure which one. He might be a bit of a mix, if that's possible. In the early years of our marriage, his symptoms were less obvious, and there were less of them. It wasn't until the internet became commonplace that I discovered what I was dealing with. While it was a relief to finally get some answers, it has also been discouraging because he is unlikely to ever change, and he has gotten worse with age.

Cascade,
Welcome to OOTF. Yes it is depressing realizing they won't change. You can change your responses though which my get them to readjust. Study the Toolbox and participate in the Boards. Wishing you peace and strength in your journey.
How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.

The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem. Do you understand?

I've looked at the toolbox and there's lots of good advice there, thanks Coyote.
