Not sure where this kind of post goes, but wanted to share about the IndoctriNation podcast that I've enjoyed in recent weeks. Therapist Rachel Bernstein is a long-time cult interventionist and has lots to say about narcissists and how they control their victims. Many of her guests have fascinating stories about escaping abusive groups of various descriptions and the various manifestations of narcissistic abuse. She also interviews academic theorists and other professionals who grapple with these issues. I spent time in such a high-control group and recognize her insights as highly accurate. I also like her interviewing style in that you get the sense she really enjoys understanding how all this stuff shakes out and her positive, courageous attitude is infections. Meanwhile she is unfailingly validating to people who've been through trauma.
sometimes in the open you look up
to see a whorl of clouds, dragging and furling
your whole invented history. You look up
from where you're standing, say
among the stolid mountains,
and in that moment your life
becomes the margin
of what matters

That sounds fascinating.  I will give it a listen.  Thanks for the tip!
