timezone
« on: September 25, 2018, 06:44:02 AM »
Is there a way that I can change the timezone on the forum to match mine? I've seen this on other forums but can't find an option for it here.
Thanks,

Yes go to your Forum profile and select look and layout. There's a time offset field and you can order detect if you don't know the offset. It would need to be adjusted when Daylight Saving Time begins and ends if you're in a timezone that observes the change.

Me neither and I couldn't even figure out what time zone the website seemed to be in. Hurrah!

I've checked my forum profile - there seems to be no option for look and layout... Is this a feature that becomes available after a certain amount of posts?

This is what worked for me - go to profile, click on modify profile and a drop down list appears where there is the option look and layout. Then you just have to figure out how many hours difference you have with the default forum times (which are helpfully indicated) and put the number the box and click on change profile to save.

Are we not going to talk about how, with no offset, the OOTF time zone is two hours east of American EST?

Is OOTF from the middle of the North Atlantic, or Brazil?

Having modified my Profile and thinking 'that's a weird time difference', I've decided to go with OOTF is based in a magic pod under the Atlantic Ocean.  :bigwink:
