Hi everybody,

If anybody is in need of a reminder of why going NC was an absolute necessity for them, here's a Harvard study about the link between autoimmune disease and stress: https://neurosciencenews.com/stress-autoimmune-disease-14089/?fbclid=IwAR278qNJKGE0n_iCeH6dtW1i07aV_gr7vyAmqpTuqOCM7Vpz7FeckMSzqJk

Psuedonym,

Thank you for showing us this research study on autoimmune disease and stress.  I have an autoimmune disease (thyroid), so I read the article.  I was also diagnosed when I was going through the worst part of my stress and conflict with my parents.  I agree that we have a responsibility to take care of our emotional and physical health.  If having contact with our PD parents causes emotional and health problems, it is time to rethink whether we should continue contact if it is literally damaging our health. Ultimately it is a very personal choice that only an individual can make for themselves, but this article gives something important to think about when deciding to go non contact.
