I stuck to my boundaries

Long story short - male friend saw something more between us and went from 0 to 100 very quickly. Comments were uncomfortable and awkward.

I saw this male friend as just that. A friend. Someone to casually hang out with. Someone who would maybe expand my circle of friends. Unfortunately he got a little too forward. I had to remove myself from the situation and no longer wish to be his friend / initiate conversation / etc.

I stuck to my boundaries and did not care about the consequences. I did not lead this man on or do anything to make him think I was remotely interested in more. He has since quit messaging me (which I am more than okay with). It's unfortunate a friendship was lost in the process. That has nothing to do with me though.

Anyone going that fast with an infatuation would be a red flag for.me at this point. Scary, not flattering.
