My Pdh has blinds and drapes in his office but that isn't enough. He cut a piece of wood to fit in the window opening because he wanted yet more privacy. His mother has some issues with paranoia so do you think this may be paranoia related?

Very good questio Cas. Ive seen this behavior many many times over the years. It ties in with lots of sneaking around. If questioned then theres lieing. I remind myself his favorite game is hide and sneak. All through the years ive heard comments like "they dont need to know". Mine is paranoid about everyones stealing from him. I ve noticed in this family it is a very common occurance.

Thanks for your input Livedit. I realize my husband could also be looking at inappropriate things on his computer and even though I wouldn't be happy about that, at least it would seem less like a slide down the road to mental illness.

Well, how inappropriate do you mean? Because there is some stuff that would not be a relief, but the opposite.

More loneliness than any man could bear

I know of someone who made a wooden cover for windows like that.

He was later arrested for a cold case murder and child porn was found in his home after the arrest when the were searching for other possible victims.

StayWithMe

I dated a guy who required sensory deprivation in order to sleep.

absolutely no noise and no light.  I noticed that he would turn over appliances with LED readouts in the bedroom.

He was "huustling" me with the marriage card ....... he wanted to move into my place ....... while pocketing all the proceeds from selling his place (about half maillion to gain) and to secure constant companionship without the comininglin of finances ........ from my day that's called "shacking up"

I took the marriage thing seriously and told him that we are not a match because I did not sleep like that.  I like noise and I like light.  I rarely use an alarm clock to get myself out of bed.  So then he told me that he tried sleeping like that and told that that was the best sleep he ever had.

Thankfully, some people can't lie convincingly.
