Thank you for sharing this.  I completely get the emotions of the parents...fear and shame....and not knowing where to turn to.

I find it interesting that in several cases attachment disorder is mentioned.

It's really a very sad state many parents find themselves in.   And sadder yet is the lack of resources available.

Thank you for sharing this article, as parent I can relate so much, although I must say that in Australia, where I live, the interventions were quite quick and helpful to keep our family safe.
I am quite open about my son, the issues and the abuse we as a family have suffered from, and that has been very helpful in finding the right support.
Since having experienced the arrival of police cars at my home on several occasions I am completely over the shame....
