Casual disrespect
« on: February 02, 2020, 03:02:33 PM »
Just now, package arrives for ds unexpectedly. Turns out it was something exciting.
Uocpdh is out of the room, I ask ds to wait and show Dad. (I try to respect uocpdh need to be involved). But no...h can't let a good thing happen without somehow turning it into a negative. He says to me I guessed that's what it was. Ok I say. Well what else would it be in a box that size? I wasn't sure I say. (He persists).... You couldn't tell that's what it was? I, just so done with mc now, unfortunately become passive aggressive: "I must be stupid". Uocpdh...oh no that's not what I meant...
Ugh.
Mc....mc...mc...

It is the negative assumption. If you open the box without the PD, you were selfish and should have waited for the PD because then they could have enjoyed the experience too. If you wait to open the box, you are wasting the PDís time because they donít care/already guessed and didnít need to be there. You didnít do wrong because you made a wrong choice. With a PD, there is no right or good choice. There will only be complaint.

Try to shove that over a cliff and enjoy the exciting thing with DS.
I have to remind myself constantly that I am responsible for my choices but not the choices of anyone else.

When we have a child, we give a hostage to fortune and to the other parent.

I may not respond as I have to sneak onto this site and more than a quick view is challenging.
