No - normally it would be good. An idea that helps everyone.... If there was no EASIER alternative.
If he really was in a position that nothing could be done then I'd try my best. Put plastic sheets down etc. BUT he didn't even tell me there was a problem last time. Just got in the car, got stuck in traffic and peed.

As I've found, the phrase "give an inch take a mile" is meant for my Dad. If someone offers a solution just one time then Dad will forever expect that. I've always said, 2 hours of my time is worth a £1 of Dad money. If he can save a £1 he'll get me to drive 50 miles to do something for him.

Look at the food shopping. He refuses to have food delivered because it costs £2-£3 for delivery. Instead, he expects me to make a 50 mile round trip to do it for him.

Got to be very careful with Dad what you "help" him with...
